The Days That Do Not Go Your Way
Some days it feels like nothing clicks. The sales call goes flat. The proposal sits unanswered. The inbox piles up. The people you rely on disappoint you. The scoreboard looks like a loss no matter how you read it.
When you are in a stretch like this, the temptation is strong to slip into ruminating or coping. You replay conversations, dwell on failures, and numb yourself with habits that do nothing but make tomorrow harder.

Find Something to Win at Today
When the game feels lost, find something – anything – you can still win. Today.
For me, that has always been working out. No matter how chaotic the day feels, I can step into the gym, move the weight, sweat through the set, and walk away with a win. It does not solve everything. But it does change me. It reminds me I still have control, I still can move forward, I still can win at something today.
Your win may look different. It might be sending the proposal you have been putting off. It might be writing for twenty minutes. It might be making one difficult call.
The form matters less than the act. The point is to prove to yourself that you can do something decisive and productive right now.
Why This Works
Momentum beats rumination. Action, even a small one, breaks the cycle of thinking and stewing.
Identity is reinforced. Every time you win at something today, you reinforce the truth: I am someone who shows up.
